Al Quihuis & AZ-Hispanic Connection

Al Quihuis is a Certified Financial Planner and Registered Investment Advisor who assists both individuals and businesses with their various financial needs. Al's focus is to establish a plan with his clients to bring about financial independence. Al focuses on four major areas: 1) portfolio management, 2) business planning, 3) estate planning, and 4) personal planning. Portfolio management includes investments for growth and income. Business planning includes qualified retirement plans, executive bonus plans, professional asset protection, and company benefits. Estate planning includes minimizing taxes and accomplishing personal objectives tailored to each client. Personal planning includes savings plans, college education funding, IRA rollovers, Roth IRAs, life insurance, long-term care, health and disability insurance. In conjunction with his business; Al serves the Latino community in many ways. Al's memberships include Los Abogados, ASU-Hispanic Community Partnership Scholar Program, Arizona Community Foundation-Hispanic Funders Collaborative, and the Latino Speaker Association. Al serves as the Chairman for both the Membership Committee and Ambassador Committee for the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In 2001 Al received the "Volunteer of the Year" award from the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Al Also sits as the Chairman of the Business Diversity Council for the Chandler Chamber of Commerce.

Several years ago Al saw a need for the Hispanic community to have a centralized place for announcements from the numerous organizations that were trying to assist the community. Al developed the Hispanic Community Service website, www.az-hispanicconnection.com, to fill this need. The website has grown and now serves as a centralized location for a calendar of events within the Latino community, as well as a list of organizations serving the Latino community, a local job board, and a place to find links to national organizations serving the Latino community.
